KEF is a London based charity dedicated to supporting children and young adults with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities and their families throughout the UK.

KEF provides out-of-school activities, recreational events and residential trips including summer and winter sleep-away camps.

At KEF, we ensure a caring and loving environment, with a team of incredibly devoted and energetic volunteers catering to each child’s individual needs providing opportunities that help them to thrive, whilst providing their parents and family with much needed respite.

KEF was founded in 2006 with just four children. Today KEF has expanded to support over 100 children and young adults, with hundreds of volunteer’s worldwide becoming part of the KEF family. In June 2017, KEF moved into its very own purpose built centre in Hendon fitted with specialist facilities including a sensory and soft play room, creating an environment specifically tailored to the requirements of the children and young adults attending our programmes.

The true uniqueness of KEF is how the volunteers, special children, parents, staff and supporters all link together to form an everlasting bond as part of the KEF family.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of children and young adults with physical and learning disabilities while providing much needed respite for their parents and families.

KEF is an environment where each child or young adult can blossom and develop to maximize their potential through the love and individual attention that is showered upon them by our dedicated team of volunteers. We aim to ensure that the children and young adults return home enriched by their experiences, with lasting happy memories.

THE CHILD, TEENAGER, OR YOUNG ADULT WITH SPECIAL NEEDS looks forward to spending time with his or her volunteer, as well as attending the special events throughout the year.

The VOLUNTEER learns the value of giving, and cherishes the unique rewarding experience of making a difference in an individual’s life.

THE SUPPORTER provides the means for KEF to exist.  KEF is completely reliant on the generous support of its donors making a real difference to the lives of the KEF family.

THE SPECIAL KEF FAMILY gets much needed respite with the reassurance that their child is well cared for. They also get to share and interact with others facing circumstances and challenges similar to their own.

THE STAFF are a team of leaders and professionals for whom KEF is a significant part of their lives. Throughout the year whilst planning the various activities and programmes, these dedicated men and women are the driving force behind the program.
