MARSHAL REGISTER

BIKE4KEF 2021 RIDE

Thank you for your interest in becoming a marshal

The role has proven to be very demanding, physical and tiring, yet extremely rewarding and leaves everyone involved with a huge sense of satisfaction and enjoyment to be part of such an amazing event.

The riders have spent many months fund-raising and training for the big day, but once it arrives they'll need the assistance of marshals to support them during the event and along the route to the finish line.

Marshals are unpaid volunteers and will generally be paired up (COVID-19 compliant), with guidance provided.

Marshals provide various support functions. Some of these are:

  • Assist with pre-event complimentary bike servicing (in the two weeks prior to the event)
  • Register/de-regiater riders and their bikes on the tracking system at the start and finish of the ride
  • Logistics and deliveries to the start and finish lines and pit stops.
  • Managing rider & marshal equipment & trackers ensuring they are properly registered, distributed, collected & stored.
  • Manning wayfinder points along the route providing a friendly face and much needed moral support to the riders.
  • Attending to riders with punctures, topping up water, reassurance that they are on the correct route and pretty much any eventuality.
  • Assisting at pit-stops with setting up of food, drinks etc.

Marshals are expected to ‘muck-in’, be a team player and provide support and help wherever and whenever is required. We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to be part of this amazing event, so if you feel you’re up for an awesome couple of days supporting our riders, please fill in your details and we'll be in touch shortly. For questions or further information please email nochum@kefkids.org

Please note the minimum age for marshals is 18
