בס"ד Dear Family and Friends,
Once more I will be taking part in the Bike4KEF 2019 ride in May and may even choose the longer 100 miles route.
I am asking you to take part in this challenge with me and sponsor me generously in support of KEF. I will bli neder do my do my utmost to partially match your donations (as much as possible and to a certain extent). The more you give, the more I give, the more KEF gets, and the more kids get.
WE DO THIS ENTIRELY AND SOLELY WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE LIVES OF KEF CHILDREN.
On behalf of the KEF kids, thank you in advance for your support. Tizku leMitsvot, Michael
What is KEF? KEF is a Jewish, London-based, non-profit, voluntary organisation dedicated to offering friendship and fun to children, teens and young adults with special needs and disabilities throughout the UK. KEF provides out-of-school activities, recreational events, residential trips and sleep-away camps. Thanks to your donations in previous rides, the KEF Centre has opened in 2017, is equipped with play rooms, softplay area, sensory area and offices, and accommodates all local Kef activities. KEF is approached almost weekly by families who are desperate for help and support, and we are successfully addressing this need. Each family is visited by the trustees to assess their needs, then the relevant programme coordinator is contacted and matches up a counsellor to their needs. KEF caters for a wide range of children with special needs – including cerebral palsy, down syndrome, autism and global developmental delay. KEF welcomes all children irrespective of their medical, physical or learning disabilities. Many of the families of KEF children are not able to afford these programmes, and KEF relies on donations from private individuals and corporate sponsors to cover the costs.
